Dastardly Democrat Dirt

Until there is a clear Republican front runner, it makes sense for the Democrats to sit on the dirt. They want a vulnerable opponent. The Republicans have the opposite problem. If they bring up dirt they are accused of fighting a dirty campaign and harming someone who could be a front runner later. Reagan's admonition about speaking ill of a Republican still has some effect.

Thus the abundant dirt in some Republican candidates' past and present is a ticking time bomb waiting for a clear front runner.

Like you, I am studying candidates for president - and have found out some amazing things. On the Republican side, there is quite a pile of dirt for some - damaging history, criminal behavior, and so on. Relatively little of it is being made public. If I could find it, so can Hillary and the Democrats, and they will use it when it is most useful to them.

Until there is a clear Republican front runner, it makes sense for the Democrats to sit on the dirt. They want a vulnerable opponent. The Republicans have the opposite problem. If they bring up dirt they are accused of fighting a dirty campaign and harming someone who could be a front runner later. Reagan’Äôs admonition about speaking ill of a Republican still has some effect.

Thus the dirt in the Republican candidates’Äô past and present is a ticking time bomb waiting for a clear front runner. For now, the only bombs that the Democrats are launching are against each other. They have already tried to destroy each other in a race and gender war.

In Obama’Äôs case the dirt includes his early Muslim education, admitted repeated drug use, and membership in an openly racist black church. However, there is more which has been coming out.

Remember US. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald? He is the man who prosecuted and persecuted Scooter Libby knowing full well that the Valerie Plame leaker was Richard Armitage. Fitzgerald was very helpful in building the Culture of Corruption image of the Republicans. In essence, Fitzgerald used legal process under his control to smear the Bush Administration and Republicans for years. Consider the damage the Leftist media was able to do, thanks to him.

Fitzgerald is also the attorney who prosecuted Conrad Black, the Conservative media baron who figuratively and literally gave the liberal press the middle finger. Like Scooter Libby, Conrad Black was found guilty of lesser charges and sentenced to jail.

Patrick Fitzgerald is once again being helpful in a timely way - and again the beneficiary is Hillary in particular and the Democrats in general. He is seeking an indictment of Antoin ’ÄúTony’Äù Rezko, a corrupt Syrian born property developer in Chicago. Rezko has been getting kickbacks for delivering government contracts. He was arrested very publicly this week, in what could only be called a perfectly timed political windfall for Hillary.

Obama accepted a sweetheart real estate deal from Rezko, and thus appears tainted by Rezko’Äôs corruption. Rezko was also a multimillion dollar fund raiser for George W. Bush, so his prosecution not only taints Obama, but potentially the Republicans as well. Thus putting Rezko in the headlines is of double benefit for Hillary’Äôs candidacy.

Aides of Democrat Richard Daley and Democrat Governor Rod Blagojevich have also been in Fitzgerald’Äôs cross hairs in recent years. The Rezko indictment was made long before Obama was on the radar - back in October of 2006. Blagojevich’Äôs wife is a business partner of Rezko’Äôs.

On the surface, it would seem Fitzgerald is fighting corruption in an bipartisan way. Yet his timing is so very useful to the Clintons for this election and the last one. Rezko was indicted over a year ago - yet it is only now in the heat of the election that Rezko is being very publicly arrested. It is as if the indictment was drawn out and/or sitting on the shelf and released at the most useful time - much like the Scooter Libby’Äôs indictment was.

In order to escape some charges, Rezko may implicate others such as the Republicans and Obama. That was the goal of indicting Scooter Libby, in hopes that some bigger fish might fry. With the court date set, it looks like the whole affair will be replayed in the media over the months leading to the election. If it is a coincidence, it is a uniquely useful one for Hillary.

So far no pictures have shown up with Obama and Rezko together - thus the claims are just abstract words to much of the voting public. However, much to Hillary’Äôs anguish, there is a picture of her and Bill with Rezko. A picture is worth a thousand incriminating words. Thus the attack on Obama may have been somewhat blunted by this Team Hillary oversight.

The Hillary style ’Äúfun’Äù is just beginning. These fireworks are in full blast on the Democrat side, but still relatively dormant on the Republican side. This is the same old Culture of Corruption play book that was used to damage the Republicans in the last election. It should not be surprising that the same successful techniques are being used against Hillary’Äôs opponents in the Democrat Primary.
